Definition of Software testing

Hi friends,

Software Testing Definition :
Software testing is an activity of test developed software application to verify that developed application is work as per requirement or not and to find as possible as many bugs from application.

There are many types of software testing. But main types of testing as per ISTQB are as bellow.

Main Types of Testing
1. Unit Testing
2. Integration Testing
3. System Testing
4. System Integration Testing
5. Acceptance Testing.

Basically Unit testing is performed by developer.
Integration Testing, System Testing and System Integration Testing is performed by Software testing engineer.
Acceptance Testing is performed by Customer/Client.
